  • What is the EMerge Alliance?       The EMerge Alliance is an open, membership-based, not-for-profit industry association formed in 2008 to create and promote the adoption of new standards for direct current “DC” and hybrid AC/DC power infrastructure in buildings, neighborhoods and communities to improve their flexibility, sustainability, resiliency and economic performance.
  • What is the EMerge Alliance Standard?       The EMerge Alliance Standards are intended to be open power distribution platforms for the use of safe low voltage DC and hybrid AC/DC power in and between buildings and their properties. Please visit our Standards section for more information.
  • Where is EMerge Alliance focused?       The EMerge Alliance is focused on promoting application of the EMerge Alliance Standards in new construction or renovation of buildings, campus, commercial parks, neighborhoods and communities.  The Standard and Alliance are focused on applications in North America, with plans for expansion to other geographic regions in the future.
  • How can I obtain a copy of the EMerge Alliance Standard?      Anyone may download free Public Overviews that provide a look into several areas of the Standards, including an architectural overview.   • Who is part of the EMerge Alliance?       EMerge Alliance members include a variety of organizations who influence the design, construction and management of facilities and properties from architects, consultants, engineers, owners and operators to product manufacturers, integrators and installers. Please visit our list of members for a complete listing.
  • Where can you find products and services that follow EMerge Alliance standards?       EMerge Alliance has established a Registration program for labeling products based on its completed standards. Please check our registered products and service listing on this site. 
  • How can I recognize a Registered Product?       EMerge Alliance Registered Products must always state they are an EMerge Alliance Registered Product either in writing or by using Logo on printed or electronic product packaging, literature, advertisements, etc. We encourage use of the Registered Product logo on the product if space is available.
  • Who should join the EMerge Alliance?       EMerge Alliance is representative of the many organizations impacting the commercial building arena, including:

  • How can I get involved?       EMerge Alliance Standards are available for use by product manufacturers offering a variety of products for the distributed power industry. Work will continue to expand the Standards into new areas and rely upon member support. Specifiers,  building and property owners and developers should also join EMerge Alliance to stay informed of new initiatives, Standards updates and to demonstrate green industry leadership.
