Leader in promoting the greater use of DC and hybrid AC/DC microgrids & power systems

EMerge Alliance, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and U.S. Department of Energy Host Event Focused on Energy Efficiency, Resilience and Decarbonization

EMerge Alliance is collaborating with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and the US Department of Energy to present a one-day Energy Efficiency, Resilience, and Decarbonization program. The invitation-only event, scheduled for Thursday, June 8, will be held at the National Building Museum. It will be live-streamed, with an on-demand recording available for public release post-program.

Session topics include:

  • Working Together to Achieve Affordable, Resilient, Equitable, Net Zero Electrified Housing
  • Housing Decarbonization Strategies for Single and Muli-Family Housing
  • Energy Efficiency Incentives and Financing for Affordable Housing
  • Decarbonization, Decentralization, Digitalization, Democratization
  • Multi-Tier Grid Edge Mesh Networked Microgrid Utility Platform
  • The Utility Experience and Future Vision for Microgrids
  • System Digitalization at the Grid Edge – Digitally Transported Electricity
  • Solar and Microgrids for Housing and Communities: The Challenges and Opportunities
  • Strategies for Deploying Microgrid Innovations in Affordable Housing

Speakers and panelists include ranking officials within each of the organizations, as well as invited speakers from the White House and US Senate.

“With the increased focus on defining specific technologies and system architectures to meet the challenge of bringing about an energy transition to provide secure, resilient & equitable clean energy for all, we were pleased to be invited to collaborate with officials from HUD and DOE on providing industry subject matter expert speakers for this conference,” said Brian Patterson, Co-founder and Chairman of EMerge Alliance.

EMerge Alliance will also participate in the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Innovative Housing Showcase, June 9-11, on the National Mall in Washington, DC. EMerge Alliance, and one of its governing members, BlockEnergy, will demonstrate a solar-powered microgrid providing electricity for a housing unit. The three-day event is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day.
